6970 problem

My asus deluxe motherboard will not boot with my 6950s flashed as 6970s even though they work fine on my amd system. It may be worth booting with another gfx card and flashing your motherboard bios witb the latest release as this sounds like a motherboard issue.
 
Mine is a asus also, did you manage to sort this?

I will go ahead with the bios update, I did this last year, msinfo32 tells me April 2012. But worth another go.. Thanks, I will update on progress
 
have you flicked the bios on the gpu to the original non bios? lots of motherboards bios's throw a hissyfit if trying to boot with the 6950 flashed to 6970 bios
 
If you don't get any BIOS action on screen with the 6970 it must be some kind of incompatibility. Tried updating the BIOS? Did the card work originally with the system, before the power supply problem?
 
Yep this card worked for about a year, I've done the motherboard BIOS earlier this eve, do you think I should change the graphics card BIOS? I guess I would need to put it in another pc to do this?
