Damn, the price for intels 6 cores always are through the roof lol. mobo's should now have 2 cpu slots lol, shuv 2 2500k's in there..win win.

I spoke to someone at intel about this they actually don't really care, there stance was pretty much screw it there is no tech support returns or rma's on them so only a fool would buy it.

they sould care really, its peoples own fault if they buy rubbish but, if intel might even get a bad name for themselfs

Just goes to say how fake ebay can really be when they have so much positive feed back and clearly are out to con.

At least they are guaranteed to not be DOA. Just as well because you aren't allowed to return them if they are.

Ermm... Publicity? Are forumites talking about this ES or whatever it is, in absence of benchmarks and marketing. Sounds like a win/win for Intel

However there is a history with intel and samples. If your sample dies etc etc good luck getting an RMA ain't going to happen, however if you call intel and say you bought a processor but have realised its actually an engineering sample they will tell you to send it in and they will replace it with the processor it is supposed to be however 9 times out of 10 people have reported getting the next one up so a nice free upgrade.

So you have to report it while it is still working to get anything from intel.
