6TB Red Drive

I never want to have to think about remaining space on my system ever again and so I'm thinking about getting one of these beauties:

Will the two play nicely together?

They will work perfectly fine together. It will work fine as a storage drive and a bootable drive.

I once lost 2 TB when a drive failed.Never again,backup and or burn important files

I would 'strongly' suggest you actually buy 2 aswell, one to backup the the other. At 'least' mirror them, or safer still use one externally or in another system to back the other up ...however that does rely on you actually keeping them updated where as if you just mirrored them in the same system you could more or less use and forget ...RAID 1 isn't a substitute for a proper backup of course, but depending on how important your data is ...at least you have some resiliency, it's far better than risking it all on one drive.

If you use Windows 8 you could also use Storage Spaces to do this.
