7.5mm SSD

Does anyone know of any SSD drives that are 7.5mm and not 9.5mm.

As I believe my new Dell Vostro that is being delivered has a thinner then standard drive fitted.

You can get 1.8" SSD

I believe he means thickness not size. And as a matter of reference there are 2.54 centimetres in an inch.

Yup, thickness.

Seems to be a load of conflicting information on the web at the moment about the new Vostro lines.

Will have to wait until the machine arrives and see if a 9.5mm will fit.

Them OCZ 1.8" SSD i linked to are 5mm thick

1.8" are 5mm thick
2.5" are 7mm and 9.5mm thick

my old intel x25m 80gb ssd sata 2 was 7mm thick, but come with a 9.5mm adapter attached to it which unscrews its currently on a popular auction site at the mo for sale

1.8" SSD's use a smaller Micro SATA Power Connector and so won't work with a laptop with a standard SATA power connector.
