Depends whether he lost it due to putting down too much power in the corner or entering it too fast. If the latter then no traction control is going to change the laws of physics - you're going off.

True, laws of physics cannot be changed. However when it comes to car control, the DSC system has superior ability to every driver on the planet thanks to being able to brake individual wheels. This oar-like steering capability allows DSC to perform some amazing maneuvers, as it will steer the car in the right direction with more convinction than any human could.

From the video it seems like he wasn't going that fast at all, and so my bet is that it was power induced. DSC should certainly stop a car from behaving quite like that, though!

Interesting video ^^^

Mercedes A-Class sharply turning , ending up with two wheels on grass, two wheels on tarmac, then sharply turning back on to the road and the stability control system manages it. If you end up in that situation then stability control really is your best option!

For the average driver, probably not. They'll go full tilt on the anchors and plough happily on in a state of panic. These devices are designed to protect the majority, remember...

DSC looks good on those E39s, shame they didn't show the video saving the driver from inadvertent ninja badger incidents.
