Hey,

Been reading up a lot on building a PC but still undecided!

Budget: £700

Don't need a PSU already got 750w one. Will be used for gaming most of the time. Still can't decide between amd or intel as amd leaves me more cash for a better GPU yet if I go Intel it will leave less.

Want it to be future proof if possible and maybe do some overclocking in the future. As I said i've spend hours reading through if I should go Intel or AMD and still can't decide.

Any help appreciated! :)

@RJC It's a Corsair CX750, don't need a monitor or operating system I should have put that in the OP!

Really like this build! Wasn't expecting to fit in a SSD so i'm impressed. I've read about people having problems with fitting those coolers in some cases. Will it fit in their?

Decent PSU which is good :D

The Corsair coolers are on 5-6 weeks lead time so you need to order separate and should fit in the case fine.

I have done a build with a air cooler and is a little cheaper.

Almost forgot, welcome to the forum:)

The CLC uses a 120mm mount and there are 2 in the rear of the case, you should be fine.

Hey guys,

Back again and things have slightly changed. So to recap I didn't need a PSU or OS.

Now though I found these pretty cheap:

i5 4670K
MSI Z87-G45
8GB Kingston HyperX 1600MHz

So, basically I have £600-700 to finish off my build. Now I said I don't need a PSU but thinking of getting a Modular one. I hope I didn't make a mistake going for that motherboard at the time but the specs look pretty good. Also a monitor is needed but I could get that seperate from the budget if needed.

So need suggestions to finish the build taking out what I bought.

Thanks!

Thanks once again :D That GFX card is a very good price! Also would it be worth it to drop the Modular PSU and just use my cx750 to get a better case?

You still can get a better case in budget.....

The Corsair 540 has so much room behind the mobo tray keeping your non modular PSU won't hurt at all :)

That Corsair 540 is awesome, something different to the towers. And that CPU cooler is fine to fit in it due to the amount of space behind the mobo tray? Looks like im keeping my other PSU :P

There are a few video reviews on youtube so you can get a good look at the case.

It has more than ample room for any air heatsink you choose and lots of options for watercooling if you ever want to go down that road. The PSU and storage drives have their own compartment behind the mobo tray. Think it's 120mm to the side panel if memory serves, so plenty of space for all that PSU cabling :D
