My max budget is £700 but i would like to bring that down to about £500 if i could, i wanted some money leftover to play around with for example i'm looking into getting one of those bigfoot network cards but not sure yet.

I think the i5 3700k is overkill for what i need, if you guys were gonna replace it with some i3 model which one is good for me? Also the graphics card is overkill can someone suggest one that will last me 2 years? thanks a lot. :)

@Idleman i want a gaming pc that will last at least 2 years, i play all kinds of games so hard to just give a quick list.

@Sparx oh that graphics card is really good at that price

so you guys think i might as well go with an i5?

Yes. :)

ok thanks for the help, the last spec idleman posted looks like what i was looking for. I noticed you added a cooler did i miss that from my first spec? or did you assume i was gonna overclock? I am new to building computers by the way should have said earlier sorry.

No the CPU comes with a stock heatsink and fan. If you plan to overclock at a later date, then grab the 3rd party cooler that Idleman added. :)
