£700 Spec Needed - Mainly Gaming

Hello Gee, I can't really add anything that hasn't already been said as regards to the hardware. Though I would question your Operating System choice. Any particular reason for not picking Windows Vista for your new system? :)
 
It's not for me but one of my mates. As previously said it's gonna be mainly for gaming and he ain't bothered whether he gets Vista or XP, I just thought he would be better off with XP due to more games being compatible.

Suppose though I could change it to 4gb ram then get x64 Vista?

This is the outcome of the build & an OS. Again, Constructive criticism welcomed :]

Thanks, I'm still not one iota closer to understanding how that fits into the context of this thread but maybe I'm just being dense.

Gee, the system looks fine, if you are going to go for 4gb now or if your friend might at any point in the not too distant future then I'd just go with Vista 64bit and save on the potential hassle of changing. Although if they are happy enough with ~3.5gb then XP is still perfectly serviceable as an OS.
