701hp s2000

The R6 I can believe getting cained, but the GSXR 1000, don't believe it. What sorta speed do you reckon they were starting at? any less than 90 and the gsxr would have been in first poss second gear so just slamming on the power he should have been leant right over the front trying to keep it down. Either a fix or a complete noob of a rider.

Still an impressive car though!

truth.

Basically because you are racing your aim is to get back into gear and on throttle as fast as possible. In doing so you may be too keen to get back on to the trottle and off the clutch before its fully engaged.

Anybody who hasnt mis-shifted in this scenario isnt trying hard enough :D Doesnt happen on the bike as on these sort of runs i dont bother with the clutch and only lift off the throttle marginally and just drag it into gear :o

(and how you'd miss a down-shift is puzzling? Unless it pops back out with too much engine speed?)

We all miss gears at some time, in my case usually due to not paying attention or trying to find some crisps at the bottom of the packet, but missing 4th takes real skill even when pushing on. Downchanges are easier to get wrong due to the fact that you have more to do under hard braking and due to the fact that changing to early causes a much bigger issue when on a downchange and is much more likely to cause bulking, even more so if you are not heel toeing.

for some reason i think im damn near spot on with down shift, i cant remember missing more than a few. maybe its something to with it being much more crucial when youre "making progress", i seem to get the down changes perfect, heel n toe too

Stock S2000 engine is very strong.

Also I disagree on upgrading the brakes to something like 20pot 500mm disks, as standard they are very good, with uprated pads they are even better.

Only on a track does a car need bigger brakes, the reason is due to thermal capacity. On the road, providing you don't drive like a complete tool, the braking requirements aren't much higher with more power.

Here's a man who knows his stuff about Motors :)

The S2000 in the vid sounds like a tractor tbh.. and the stainless guard with the screws out of the wing looked amateur at best.

You also don't realy hear the motorbike engines 'screaming' which suggests to me that they were bogging the bikes down to try and make the car look quicker.

I too am skeptical its 700hp. Wouldn't 3rd gear foot to the floor spin the wheels up on a relatively low geared car like an S2000 with 700hp? I didn't hear any evidence of wheelspin in the sound.

If that car is 701bhp, I'll eat a big steak.

THAT is a win win

Think you all just got owned

That S2000 on thedyno pulling 700bhp ;)

you qeustion the power of it, two wastegates and a turbo bigger than a dinner plate and you question the power?

lol some people just "dont want to believe"

T1 racing also built a 700whp DC2 integra that runs 8.97 second quarters, perhaps you'd all like to question that too?

its just not plausible, it doesnt look 700bhp fast. look at the evo vid i posted and the z32 vid clarkey posted... a big difference going on there. 700bhp is really really big big horsepower

It was only running 600bhp against the busa do people not read anymore?

It runs 700bhp on full chat, it ran 600bhp for the bike test.

Not plausable? Why isnt it plausable lol

because 600-700bhp = not putting power down anywhere at all

that supra vid i put up, he was going from almost the top of third and still spinning. the s2000 put all the power down

it could have a million bhp, but dynos prove nothing

Fast, but not sure on 700hp. Was only registering 140's on the speedo after a long stint of full throttle against the big bike, on 23psi.

FWIW, this is how quick the speed builds up on a true 700rwhp car.

The speedo in Kph? :p

And yeah that S2000 is no way 700bhp! And why is it that on quite a lot of the videos on youtube where people nail it to high speeds then just knock the car into neutral when they slow down?! Or am I the only one that has actually noticed that lol

usa = mph. i thought about kph too

i wondered about the diff too, but the speeds seem about right for 3rd and 4th

Well anyway folks you cna think what you like T1 racing developments hold a lot of quarter mile records in the usa.

Tony Palo the owner has the FWD world record iirc with his 8.9 sec pass in his 800WHP Integra.

T1 aren't going to ruin there reputation by quoting a cars power figure that is unrealistic

lhd though, so itll be a us market car. when i saw that z32 speedo go round so fast i expected to see a 180kph clock, a la jap imports.

that z32 was bugger me sideways fast

Yeah they're great, and S2000's aren't heavy.

the brakes on mine were awful - in that after two decent roundabout intervals the pedal was like sponge and I looked to the sky for intervention when the third r-about appeared! - with nothign but a spoon cai, had i cared for the car i would have fettled with them, if i spent $xxxx on a "700hp" upgrade I'd make sure I had something worthy between the wheels not some wimpy two pot setup that wouldnt look out of place on a crv.

imo
