7200.10 Triggering SMART

Get a copy of Seagate's diagnostics from their website and run the extended test. If the drive fails return it under warranty. If it passes then keep an eye on it and see what happens, SMART has never been 100% accurate.

Oh, back everything up but I hope you're doing that anyway ;)
 
It's got nothing on it anyway. I bought 2 to use as media storage drives but the other one still has 50GB free yet

I'll take a look at that test too. Cheers
