7200 or 5400

hi,

i currently have a dell laptop with a 7200 hdd. to get a lot more storage i need to drop down to 5400 rpm. will i notice much of a performance drop?

yeah i know about that hdd and want it but i phoned ocuk and the guy said he didn't know when it would be in stock. i asked if it could be weeks and he said possibly.

The Seagate is also SATA only, have you confirmed what interface your current drive is?

yeah. i currently have a seagate momentus 7200 rpm sata 100gig. unfortunately it is too small.

i bought the momentus 7200 160 gig. just have to wait for it to come into stock now.
