Hi just lastnight my graphics card 6600gt/agp stopped working, so today i purchased a new graphics card and mobo i decided to go through the pci e route as i was told at shop its better than agp, i bought a asus a8v vm se mobo and a 7300le pci e graphics card,wow what a dissapointment my 3d mark 03 score has gone from 8500 with 6600gt agp to 3121 with 7300le, ill be taking it back tommorow as a downgrade isnt what im after, can anyone sudgest a good pcie card around £80+/- something that will give me a high 3d mark as i really only play fear.

I have a 7300LE (with turbo cache) and i can tell you its a absolute pile of crap.

128mb onboard and can share system memory to make it 512mb....

i would not use it as a door stop let alone a video card.

i bought it in a system off of ebay (and the system is being returned saturday!).

seller stated "NOW WITH 512mb VIDEO CARD" which was just bull.....


AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE AND BUY A 6800GT 512mb or better.

This is a good buy, DX10 too and with latest drivers are a good performer for money.
An alternative would be a 1950 ATI card, that you can also find within the £80 budget , but obv only DX9 based.

any card that has le or se on it is pants. although i'm extremely shocked at the 3d mark score

i get 10000 easy with my galaxy 7300gt ddr3 at stock settings . had 12000 when pushing it

Thx for all your advice guys i took the card back today and picked up a msi8600gt oc version, 3d mark 03 score 15000

How much did it cost out of curiousity? I'm always confused by people who shop in highstreet shops. Unless you found a good deal that is.

Not bad. Bout the same as the OCUK version on here after delivery.

If that card ever reached a shop over here it would be advertised as the next "WOAH MUTHA ****IN DX10ZORZ!!!1111" and sold at about 200 quid.
