It's not really a PC but I'd thought I'd share some photos here. You can also like my Facebook page to follow updates :)

Thanks lol :) hopefully I'll be able to buy all the computer stuff from Overclockers. All the avionics will run on the new Broadwell NUCs.

Wow. How long has it taken so far? When do you hope to complete it?

I have been planning for about 2 years. i ordered the parts you can see last November and they got delivered last month. It was all flat packed so I spent a whole weekend screing everything together!

If anyone wants to have some sessions in it when it's up and running, I'll be more then willing :D Perhaps with a small donation to a Justgiving page? Location is near manchester

lude1962 that is correct :) I chose Xplane as that is very smooth with very high graphics settings and UHD mesh (from 20-50 fps) compared to FSX and P3D.

PSX is an aamzing piece of software, it's worth a few £1000s!

Cosimo, you can run PSX across multiple monitors or you can use 4 instances of PSx on the same beefy PC. it's very flexible.

It's focused on raising money for charity. When it's fully built, people can donate to be able to fly in it.

The 1st avioncis PC has been bought, this will be PSX Client A :D

So, I need to build a visual PC for Xplane, what do you think of the spec?

  • Fractal Design Node 304
  • Asus MAXIMUS VII IMPACT
  • Intel Core i7 4790K
  • Corsair Hydro H80 cooler with a single SP120 quiet edition fan
  • 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro, 2133MH (red)
  • 12GB EVGA NVIDIA Titan X SC
  • 700W be quiet! Straight Power 10
  • 2x 256GB Samsung 850 PRO

A quick new video. I fitted a new 1080p projector and EICAS systems. There are now 2 NUCs running, one for the Captain's side and one for the center. There is a great review of PSX here (http://mutleyshangar.com/reviews/bc/psx/psx.htm).

Also bought a PC for visuals, specs are:
Corsair 350D
Asus ROG Maximus VIII Gene
Intel 6700K @ 4.6GHz
Corsair Hydro H80i GT
32GB Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, 2666MHz
Asus 980Ti Strix 6GB OC
1000W Corsair RM
Corsair Braided Power Supply Cables Metallic Graphite
2x 256GB Samsung 850 PRO
Samsung SH-224FB DVD
Windows 10 Pro
