750 for physx?

Would be intresting to see what sort of performance id get from having a GTX 970 plus a GTX 670 (for Physx)..don't think my psu has 4x 6 pin cables though. :(

I tried GTX 670 + 8800GT (as Physx) in Mafia 2,I did get an improvement in fps but iirc it kept causing crashing issues..dont know what was causing it,Could have been the PSU i was using,Or the 670 not liking to work with the 8800 etc..who knows.

Pity it doesn't list the minimums.

Hoping I can figure out how to get this 960 whilst still allowing the 2nd 980 Ti to work. Was reading the motherboard manual, and it actually doesn't say you can't have the. As I do.

So not sure why the second 980 Ti becomes unavailable when I plug in the 960. Not even listed in device manager.

Problem for the morning I guess.

ive got a lower spec Gigabyte board(gaming7), but I believe if i have two in sli its x8 x8, but if i populate the 3rd pcie slot then its x8,x4,x4, maybe a similar thing? doesn't sli require x8?

It does but even if it was running at x4 it should still show up in device manager and just be missing the option to SLI.

It was a driver thing, not a mobo thing, so my bad. Fr some reason it forced only a clean installation fixed it.

Didn't have much time for testing anything today thanks to working a lot.

Did a couple of benches in batman Ak, and the 980 Ti sli + 960 came out on top. Would be even better if sli was scaling better in the game.

For some odd reason though, single 980 Ti with dedi 980 Ti on physx scored worse than single 980 Ti + 960 dedi. tried couple of times. Surely just some driver issue of some sort.

Still, 960 is in and running ok now. It can stay in. Got it running same clocks as my 980 tis for hell of it :)

Three Nvidia gpu's use too many lanes for a 4790k platform. I was under the impression you could not go with more than 2 Nvidia cards is this wrong then?

My board uses PLX chip, so can have 2 x 16x pcie or up to 4 x 8x pcie.

Just like I was running 3 x 290x previously without issue (apart from crosfire support)

Well I picked up Origins the other day for 2 quid odd so I thought I'd give it a try :p

Single 970

Single 970 + dedicated Physx(using another 970)

That was 4K highest settings (except AA on FXAA High)

Physx card load max was around 35%
