£750 gaming PC

More options inside for large GFX cards, removable HDD cages,

because that's needed as OP is using such a large gpu.
and looking at OP's previous posts, i don't think OP will be upgrading to a monster GPU any time soon

better fan filter removal and cleaning.

yes the z9 also has fan filters, the only thing harder to remove is the front fan filter, and how often is that done?

The Antec has three fans and fan controllers too.

just not anything else?

in any case (haha, pun) it's OP's choice. think i've said enough

Sure its also silenced so has some sound deadening material on the main panels, and there is a rep on these forums (Ace modder) to help should anything arise.

Ye it is a 1.5TB drive, all i got to do is wipe it clean so it is ready to use again.

Now it looks like which case to pick and ye im not looking to upgrade the GPU for really quite a while but it will be nice to know that either case can fit it when it does come around to upgrading.

hehe. sound deadening foam. fair enough

depends on what you want, sound deadening vs windowed + blue lights.

i don't really consider gpu size to be a problem, for example:

this gtx 970
YOUR BASKET
1 x Inno3D GeForce GTX 970 OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £263.99
Total : £273.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

is only 215mm long.

the z9 can fit up to 290mm cards (the msi 290 is 269mm long)

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK GeForce Titan X 12288MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £869.99
Total : £879.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

the king of single core gpu is only 282mm long.

Ah the inno3D GTX970, the same model where users have had to take apart the cooler and remove the black plastic bits so it actually makes contact with the core?

Plus blue lights on a red+black themed board/heatsink/RAM and GFX card? really:D

i'm not using the inno 970 for their build quality - rather, for size, so what users had to do to fix it, really isn't the point. but if that's such a big deal, then:

170mm

no one is saying that the blue leds can't be disabled and just to get a £10 white/red/whatever colour led?

The Zalman Z9 does not have any removable drive cages so it is stuck at its maximum supported GFX length.

Im also going to throw one more spanner into the works,

That is an excellent case and the PSU is decent being made by Seasonic, but its mostly all about the case.

Okay, so if i pick Zalman it is because i like blue lights over a bigger GPU.

Also that shiny Antec case can i take the door off? Im not sure how i would feel about it with the door open on it.

Also the bundle with the PSU is a nice touch but 620w is that overkill for what i have put together?

Ah so spend more money on a cheap case? may as well buy a better case to start with;)

@OP if you want something red+black with a window,

There are actually newer Zalman cases available than the Z9, the Z9 is a 4-5 year old design, plus there are others with blue LED on the market.

The Antec door Im not sure about, its there for silence.

The 620W PSU is overkill, just happens to be in abundle.

Oh wait, no external drive bay on the source.

edit,

If the P100 door can be fitted left or right handed, then it can be removed entirely.

not really. as i've shown on previous posts, not many gpus are >290mm in length. even the most powerful single core gpu currently available is 282mm long

size isn't always everything

the door can't be removed, although it can swing a 270 degree arc

It must be able to be removed completely because how would to move it from the left to the right?

I would like to say noise doesn't bother me but really i have no idea how loud it would be.

Need an OD on the case really.

Maybe the future GPU get bigger? Who knows but right now 290mm does seem to be enough these days.
