Just installed by new my new Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750GB :D BUT it is only really 698GB  I bit ****** off reallly as this is to back up a lot of my music and film collection. 50gb is a lot of space especially when some of my other drives are only 74gb anyway. It's false advertising! Lets hope i won't need that last 50gb for awhile...

Anyway i don't know what you guys think - shall hopefully not be too displeased with how the drive performs elsewhere - sata 2 speeds ;)

Cheers Magoo

Don't you ever consider burning off disks?.......... its cheaper then buying more hard drives..

Yeah, but i like to keep the original dvd files. Dual layer discs are still a little expensive... and some films are only 54% quality on a single layer. Alright for my old TV at the mo, but when played on a nice samsung 32" lcd tv (the next major purchase) they look very dodgy... burn them later when the dual layers drop again in price :D

(I've never even filled a 60Gig HDD yet :D )

I do need quite a bit of storage - !'ve backed up most of my families and friends music cds - and have collected a lot due to a relation being quite famous composer along time ago - my music alone has reached 250gb!!!!

Its priceless - would be devasted if i lost it
