750ti or R9 270?

My Xeon E3 1220,H67 mini-ITX motherboard,8GB of RAM,GTX660 and a few drives runs off an XFX PRO 450W. The system consumes around 135W to 195W at the wall when gaming.

Edit!!

Another poster on Hexus says his Xeon E3 1230 V2 mini ITX system with a R9 270 draws around 190W to 220W at the wall.

Darren has it spot on.

It's new tech and new tech always costs more...example the 1st HD TV's were ridiculously expensive for a sub par product...

anyway the 750 is for very low profile low energy...

the price for the performance is an issue but the 800 series is just around the corner, it does show the potential of having very efficient GFX cards...

If it were the same wattage as compared AMD cards then it would be a different issue altogether...

Personally I prefer efficiency over brute power, but the issue of the price performance at this point in time makes you want to buy the AMD 265 or 270

The power saving is not even worth it TBH,as the GTX750TI is slower in many games and will need to be replaced quicker anyway.

If they can maintain that kind of performance per watt up to their top tier GPUs then its something to shout about, how it is currently its a waste of time unless you need a low profile card/fastest without a 6/8pin.
