7600GT AGP PSU question

Thinking about getting a Geforce 7600GT AGP VGA card as an upgrade to my AMD Athlon based system but just checking if my PSU was up to it.

It is an FSP 400w PSU with 15amps on the +12v rail.

Will this be OK ????

It is on the low side but for a second I'll assume you don't have a demanding system if you are matching it with a 7600GT so it should be ok, the 7600GT is quite an efficient card in power terms anyway since it is slightly faster than a 6800ultra but uses less power. If it helps any I'm running a 6800GT on a 400w PSU with a nominal 15A (I think that was the label said although they subsequently revised it to say 20A with no change to the PSU). :)

I heard it was only 36W, either way it is surely one of the most power efficient cards on the market today. Should be fine on the 400W/15A@12V PSU

Cheers all.... Just the replies I was looking for as it sounds like the 7600GT will be OK with my PSU.

As a thought, I suppose a 7800GS or 7900GS might be pushing my luck a bit then with my PSU. I know these cards draw a bit more power than the 7600GT.

What do you all think ???? 7600GT tops then for with PSU ????
