7600GT Booting up - Problem

We've just received a AGP Club3d 7600GT Graphics Card, which is a final upgrade on my Athlon 64 3200+ system.

After replacing the 9800 pro in the AGP port the card powers up, the fan spins. but won't boot up past the Power Up self test on the first memory check screen.

The card has been checked to be seated correctly with the power molex attached but no joy. All you get is the fan spinning and it locks at the POST screen.

I put the Radeon 9800 Pro back in and it works with no problems and launched into vista.

Anyone have any advice or is this a case of a dud card?

im sure that 9800 pro is better than 7600gt, but go into bios and then save and exit, computer will restart. some times when i change new hardware it hangs at post donno if it just me but after going into bios then come out of it again it boots fine (wierd i know)
