So I just had a hit at overclcoking my KabyLake after delidding it
I ran OCCT for just under 9 minutes and got temps max at 69c

I am running 1.35 volts. The settings I used were from https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...9ghz-upgrade-bundle-gamers-paradise.18764245/
(Big thank you for 8Pack for his settings)

Now I am thinking of bumping this up to 5Ghz and testing again on OCCT for 10 minutes just to see if I get any immediate issues

What other software do you guys use to stability test your systems btw?

Edit

I have ran this on Aida64 and OCCT for about an hour and no errors with stability, bsods or crashes. (5Ghz 1.296V)

Edit again, got a BSOD on Realbench at 1.296V, upped this to 1.32 and nothing :)

I so far have played titanfall 2 for about 3 hours
Overwatch, Guild wars 2, Crysis 3 for about an hour each
Mass effect Andromeda 2 hours or so

Everything maxed on 2k resolution. So far so good :) Max core temp 69c (when stress testing)

Seems pretty damn good! I was trying to work out whether to go with a a 7600k or 6700K for gaming. I went with the later in the end, since I think it'll be better prepared for multi threaded applications, while still being able to maintain high clock speeds.
