Hi,
I have been using Intel XTU to overclock my CPU up until now. I have now started using my BIOS.
I have a Z270 Gaming K3 GB Mobo.
I can't seem to find a solution to the problem I have with this board:
I can set my Overclock in the BIOS fine. The overclock the will stick when I save it and reload the BIOS.
However, when I boot into Windows, the effective overclock is set for around 2 seconds before dropping back to the stock/default CPU clock (4.2GHz from 4.4GHz). I have a voltage setting of 1.260v which was more than enough for Intel XTU to accept the overclock.
I don't understand why this would be different through the BIOS, or why this isn't working
Edit: Using XTU works fine, but the BIOS still won't accept my clocks :/ Maybe i am missing a simple option...
I hope someone can help. Thanks.
