Good Afternoon all
Gigabyte 7600XT issue here, Card will boot initially and can be stress tested for several hours however as soon as you restard the system I get a black screen and VGA light on the motherboard. I can hear Windows however in the background. Ive DDU'ed in Safemode and still the same. Anyone else have an issue like this?

Are you using a riser? It sounds like maybe a dodgy connection to me. You could try updating the BIOS and/or setting PCI-E gen lower.

Did the card ever work properly, or did this happen recently?

Is fast boot enabled/disabled?

You could have a look in the event viewer too, since it should record something even though you can't see it.

Could be a handshake problem between the monitor and the card. See if there is a firmware update for your monitor and I would also change ports the video cable is plugged into. Might be worth changing the video cable aswell.
 
Thanks both. No riser being used. Tested in 2 systems now and doing the exact same. Bios updated and now it won't even give me that initial boot. Tried on DP and HDMI. Sadly looking like an RMA
 
Just for reference, I had a similar issue with my 9070XT a few weeks back. I would get a no boot scenario (iGPU disabled) and VGA light on the motherboard.

I had carried out the following:

DDU - Reinstall drivers
BIOS update
Reset BIOS

It lasted a few days then went to a no boot issue again.

Blown out PCIE slot with air.
Wiped the PCIE pins n the card with 99% Isopropyl

It lasted a few more days then the issue occurred again.

I bought a RX470 from a member on here and ran for weeks with no issue so all pointed to the GPU failing. Luckily they just gave me a straight up refund after over a year and I bought new. New card has been in for 5 days and being monitored as we speak.

Can you try a different card for a few days? Even purchase a low tier on the cheap?

Strip the card down and bake it in an oven (maybe not). Although I did fix a 970 card back in 2020 doing that and it still works.

What about asking Vince in his repair thread?

@Vince yeah that'd be no issue mate, I did narrow it down too amp tonight since it was still buzzing even with dac turned off, I might take another look inside and see if it's something simple like a broken ground (heck might even just be the tube going bad since it's had a lot of use), I did...
