Hi,
I am looking to do an Haswell upgrade an wondered if anyone new of a release date for the nvidia 760Ti and know if its worth waiting for?

I am considering a 7950 but its an old card so I'm not sure what is the best thing to do. The GTX 770 looks good but I think its just a bit too expensive considering the age of the architecture.
If the next gen is out in six months then i will probably want to get one of the new cards then.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The 760Ti is just a GTX670 rebranded. It's likely that a 7950 will be your best bet if you want NOW NOW NOW.

If you're happy to wait though, AMD's new cards will be out before the end of the year, so <6 months away.

The 760Ti is going to be interesting, because as spoffle quite rightly says it will be a 670 chip based card. Now if they do what they have done with the 770 then it will all come down to price, as it will go head to head with the 7950.
Not sure when it is coming and pricing remains to be seen, the 770 came in at the right price to challenge the 7970Ghz so we will have to wait and see.

If you do want a new card now and don't want to wait then as spoffle says the 7950 is an awesome card and likely your best bet.

No I cant wait that long, a few weeks maybe. I currently have a 8800GT and I a have a huge back catalog of games I want to play so I need something soon.

If the 760Ti was likely to come in soon at the same kind of price performance as the 7950 (£250ish) then i would wait as im a bit of an nvidia fanboy.

Recommendations will vary, but at the moment you cannot miss the MSI card as it is at a very good price but the boost on this card isn't particularly good at stock, of course this is fairly irrelevant if you intend to overclock.

The HIS IceQ has seen a lot of recommendations lately due to its very good cooler it also boost higher at stock settings.

I am looking to get another gtx 660ti, for sli if its price comes down enough, like i anticipate it will with the 760ti series..
