780 Classified Overclocking

Bit unlucky if you can't get 1300MHz at 1.3v anything beyond that would be entirely a lottery - but 1240-1280 is about what I'd expected from the better ocing cards from more run of the mill oc models, not what I'd expect from a classified. i.e. my 780 ghz does 1267 at 1.21v which is about the upper end of what I'd expect.

Yeah I just wanted to get to 1300mhz and I would have been happy. I get artifacts (so minimal its easy to miss) at 1254 core at 1.21v. So much lower than your GHZ card. :(

I should have just went with the FTW model that is much cheaper.

Oh and am I using the best bios? I have the Skyn3t rev3 on my card. Not sure if another bios could maybe give more stable overclocks? Wishful thinking, I know! :D

1267 is bang on the limit for me - don't actually need 1.21 to get it - infact the next voltage bin down is also stable at that but 1.21 doesn't get me anything extra - 1267 = perfectly stable, next speed bin after that = black screen within 30 seconds every time - 2 speed bins = corruption then black screen.

skynet bios IIRC is aimed at using higher voltages, higher end cooling and messing about with k-boost, etc. and might not always be the most optimal.

Wow, some bad Classies out there it seems. Amazing a card with such a premium can have such horrid clockers. Especially a card that is for overclocking.

My card is 77.1% ASIC quality.

I know I won't notice the difference in gaming with overclocking. Its just the idea of it! :D

I just want a card to run over 1300mhz lol.

If it's any consolation GPU-Z reckons the ASIC quality on my Windforce 780Ti is 78.6% and I can't reach 1200MHz (although I'm not far off at 1183MHz).

You have some form of sync enabled in nvcp.

ASIC rating on my wf is 80% ono iirc. Pretty poor clocked though. Hopefully the rev2 I'm getting fares better.

With it set at 1.25v in the Classy Tool it peaked out after 4 loops in Unigine Heaven at 69 - 70c.

That was clocked at 1267mhz.

And heres me worrying when it gets to 40c!!

With those temps 1267mhz is ok, the 780's like it as cold as you can get it and on air in these warm conditions you cant expect miracles!! Come winter you could probably add 50hz+

Oh and for ref: the 780's i got have asics of 93 & 89% (thx gee ;) )

If I'm staying under 75c I'm happy. :)

1267mhz is not horrible, but that's if its actually stable there. I only let it loop 4 times in Unigine Heaven and 2 times in Valley. Done no gaming yet so it might crash instantly then.

What clocks on air did you get for 24/7 use on your 780s?

Wouldn't worry about asic, iirc both my phantoms are around 70%, both bench 1400+ and both do 7ghz+ on mem despite one being the all feared elpida

Not ran these on air so dont know i'm afraid.

Doing some testing at mo, mrs is away, yey!

Card 1 asic 89% max clocks at 1.35v is 1450/2000
Card 2 asic 93% max @ 1.35 is 1416/still working on ram, so far at 19252050, oh and this card is noisy!!
Think thats it on card 2, just starting to see artifacts, so 1416/2050
Above tests are on firestrike.
