780 ref or windforce?

Which card, any reference design, or the Windforce.
I am currently waiting for the Windforce to drop in price, but I am not too sure if its even worth it. Can you guys obtain a good OC on the reference cards an not have it sounding loud? Or throttling for that matter?

The WF is a good cooler and the reference cooler is quiet. I would prefer a custom cooler personally. Most 780's seem to OC past a stock Titan, so good performance in general but like always, it is a chip lottery.

I have a reference GTX 780 - It overclocks to 1163 / 1150 depending on the temperature. Below 80c it runs at 1163 - above 80c it drops down to 1150. This is with no over voltage. With the overlclock my gpu jumps to 84c tops but mostly hovers around 82c.

IMO the reference design is very quiet... even with the overclock. Reading reviews of previous Windforce cards they are usually run cooler than reference but louder....
