Haven't tried these changes so read user comments before you try. Used to edit ini files for all my old games, great way to customise the graphics and performance (some things kill your frame rate without much noticeable improvement in the graphics)
 
I'm finding my fps now and then will drop to 0-2, with 0% GPU usage. Lasts about 2 seconds. It does it every 10 or so minutes. If I am sat in Arma 3 doing nothing (not moving), this doesn't happen. Only when I am moving about. Any ideas? Not sure if it did it on my 470 as my fps and graphics were bad anyway.

I think I will get an i7 Haswell, new mobo and 16 GB RAM.
