Will the vf700 allow for higher clocks on my card? It currently runs at 481/1130.What sort of clocks would you expect to hit with the vf?Are they a lot quieter than the stock cooler?

Thx

Should definitely consider the VF900-CU instead, the test results I've seen look amazing. I'll slap some in this thread if I can be arsed, but a simple Google search should come up with plenty. :)

The vf700 is a good cooler for the 7800 cards, used to have one on mine, virtually silent @5v :D So much quieter than the stock cooler, but as the previous poster said get the vf900 if the difference is not to much

Definitely not, just a blob of thermal paste, a couple of screws and a spring here and there, and the job's a good one. Probably half an hour if you take your time about it.

Should warn you though that taking the stock cooler off will void your warranty (though so does overclocking), most people just put it back on if they want to return it for whatever reason though since it's impossible to tell.
