got my 7800gt yesterday, mucked around for a while :D, jsut wondering the drivers supplied with the card isnt the newest one. If i use the one form the nvidia website, will my VIVO and other things still work? bcoz its gigabyte...
 
I don't see why not as it's offered on the vast majority of graphics cards

I've always used the drivers from nVidia's or ATi's website never the ones from the manufacturer as they tend to be more recent. The only real difference is that the manufacturer drivers will say "Gigabyte 7800GT" vs the nVidia drivers which will say "nVidia 7800GT" or just "7800GT"

If it doesn't work you can always roll back to the Gigabyte drivers

When you upgrade/downgrade I'd recommend first uninstalling the drivers from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and then booting in Safe Mode to get rid of the last bits with Driver Cleaner
 
Don't know if Gigabyte put everything in 1 installer, but to get VIVO to work with nVidia's drivers you'll have to download & install the WDM driver as well as the ordinary driver.
