hello :)

anyone know how i can set up teaming on a Striker II Formula mobo?

chipset is 780i and i have the drivers for ethernet configuration installed, but cant see the option to setup teaming?

The spec sheet says it supports teaming....

any ideas?

cheers

it would be in the nvidia control panel, if both ports are connected to the switch etc. A quick google brought up people saying they couldnt see it anymore on windows 7. Personally I couldnt see it on my 790i either, although I never had both nic's plugged in so assumed it was that.

hmm ok thanks, yeh both NICs are plugged in and i can't see the option anywhere in the nvidia control panel...

may just have to get myself an Intel pro 1000 :/

however I have just seen that there is a new chipset driver out with 'Network Management Tools (v73.16) "Sedona"'

will download in a sec, see if that works :)

cheers

just installed the new drivers and i still cant see an option :/

looks like ill be trying to find a pci (not pci x) dual nic intel pro 1000 card off the bay then :/

You can team connection's using windows, if you right click the connection in windows you'll see an option called 'bridge connection'.

that doesnt seem to create a load balancing team tho? :/

the link speed is only stated as 1.0gb/s on the bridge, but on my server where i have an intel pro 1000 MT dual port it says 2.0gb/s

Reinstall all of the nvidia drivers. Im using 780i here and I have the option of teaming in the nv control panel.
