780ti or 970

If your not gonna overclock, 780Ti all the way, its quite a bit faster!

If your overclocking things become much closer but on raw performance 780Ti still edges it even at 1080P, higher resolution favours the 780Ti more.

But both cards are excellent and excel. :)
 
3 gb's of ram or 4 gb's of ram. That's what I'd care about more with the current ports using so much ram (even at 1080p). The 780 ti may be a bit quicker but your going to find games that use more ram than you have forcing you to lower settings to avoid stutter etc.
Your better off with a 4gb card.
 
If you are thinking about resale at some point in the future, I'd say the 970 has a better chance of holding value (even though we all know all graphics cards depreciate quite quickly beyond a certain point.)
 
the 970 as its going to be the focus of work from drivers perspective and it has new features and an extra bit of buffer (the first one is my opinion)
