Hey guys, I've gone ahead and bought some new parts as of recently and one of these parts was the AMD HD 7850, installed it and all was good until I noticed that on dark backgrounds there's like moving lines behind the screen? It's really annoying while gaming and I don't know what's going on or how to fix it?

I thought it was a cable problem, so I replaced my DVI wire with a standard VGA wire and no change.

I really want to fix this problem as it's really annoying.

Any advice?

What drivers are you using? Could try rolling back.

Have you tried a different monitor just in case it could be the card/monitor combo not liking each other?

I uninstalled the old AMD drivers from my 5770 and then I installed the 7850 drivers.

I tried it on my 1080p TV and it seems.. okay? I didn't see any lines really. so it's pretty messed up.

I blew the sockets/adapters and re-plugged and going to go and try out now, but this is quite the annoyance :/.

No change the lines are still there while gaming, I got the drivers off the AMD website, but I guess I could re-install, it might do the world of good.

You never know! Will report back after installation.

Back!

Okay so I tried another monitor and the same flickering occured, so I came back to the TV monitor, while using a VGA or DVI cable with the TV it flickers, but If I switch to a HDMI cable, then the flickering stops.

Is it likely I have a dodgy GPU? :S please advise.

Another further note is that it is much more noticable when playing games and not so much when not.

edit: I think the best course of option is that I'm going to have to send it back under RMA and ask for a replacement :/.
