7850 to what? consider not OC

Agreed :) I'd be very surprised and rather disappointed if it did require that kind of beef.
ED: Though part of me does wonder just how much optimisation they can do to get even close to doubling the framerates seen on the alpha.


Anyway, I think we're getting ever so slightly OT here :D

Probably but oh well! :p :D

IIRC the alpha for bf 3 ran very poorly for a lot of people and the final game ran much better.

The alpha stage isn't really about tweaking performance (that comes during and after beta), more bugs, fine tuning certain things and more importantly for DICE, server testing etc.
 
Well.....i ended up getting the MSI 7950 Twin Frozr............
...but........now i cry..........it won't fit in the case.
I really didn't think it would be much if any longer than the MSI 7850 twin frozr, but i was wrong. :(

I now have the dilemma of changing the case to one that will fit the card, but keeping it as small as possible....OR....give the 7950 to my son and keep on with my 7850.

Gutted!! Yes maybe i should have checked, but i didn't....hey ho....craaapppp!!!!
 
Just return it for a refund and look for a smaller card that will fit. Possibly one of the short 670's if you can find one.

Like the ASUS GTX 670 DirectCU Mini.
 
I'll just let my lad have it. He was due an upgrade anyway.
I'll stick with the 7850 as most people reckon it will handle BF3/4 on high settings.
 
Another quick question,
i got loads of games vouchers with this 7950.
Can the games be redeemed across more than one account?
Basically there's a couple on the amd gold reward voucher that i want, but there's one that my lad wants, that i'll never play.
Can that be done?
 
If I were you I would just wait for them to release the new cards in October and see what happens with pricing of new and old cards as yours will be fine for now

Codes can be redeemed to any account.
When you get the code, just sign into his account and redeem it on there.
