Manufacturers or resellers only pay for return postage for faulty items if you are still within the standard 14 days CCR (Consumer Contracts Regulations). Once you are outside of that then it is the buyer that needs to pay for this. You probably should realign your expectations with what is reasonable.Cosair have said I have to cover return shipping costs for a faulty item, not very good service.

You could expect the Russians to admit to using nerve gas to try and kill 2 people on British soil and killing another Russian business man in London but then it would not be a reasonable expectation.I understand they don't have to offer return shipping but for a large pc brand I would expect them to offer this.

I've been in I.T for over 30 years and I can not remember a company paying to send faulty stuff back to them (outside of the 14 days); Logitech used to send out replacements even before they'd received the faulty item back but I doubt they still do that.

I'm sure there are many others who might have had similar experiences especially for items still within warranty but this has not been my experience and will not be the norm for the majority of companies, especially in this economic climate. One should count themselves lucky if they came across some one who did this for them but it should not be the expected protocol.Having returned a cpu to Intel before they did for me. Was a 3770k several years ago not sure if the same applies today but Intel paid for collection and delivery of a new cpu after testing when I had to RMA mine.
This was at the time a fair ways out of 14 days and I didn’t even have the receipt for it, they just went off the codes on the IHS.
how did you find delidding the cpu, any problems? what paste did you use?a better cooler?
I'm running a 7900x (delidded) with a 360mm AIO. Runs nicely and reasonably cool - 26 degrees stock and mid 60s in games. That is with good air flow in the case.
I wouldn't have gone for less than a 360 rad. Maybe see if they would upgrade yours to the H150i Pro or similar.
