7950 help please

Yeah I worry about that have seen some strange things come up on my screen like new roofs, sky dissapearing, graphical glitches
Have seen my vrm upto 84c! I'm dissapointed as it already has a aftermarket cooler yet temps are still way too high

You have fitted an aftermarket cooler to a TF3 or do you mean it has the std custom cooler?

Anyway mine runs at max 71 degrees benching using heaven @ 1150/1500 (max tried).
If you have temps much higher your case in/out air is not sufficient.

Heaven may reach 71C, Sleeping Dogs will giggle and keep on climbing :)

I've seen 79C ingame and airflow isn't a problem in my setup, although not perfect.

With a large side intake, it could drop a few degrees based on my ghetto experiments with a house fan aimed at the open side which kept it below 70C from 2.5ft away at minimum setting. Unscientific obviously, but it proves the principle at least.

I've also tried mounting a fan directly behind the card on the 3.5" bays and have open pci slots and it didn't make any real difference surprisingly, even though the fan is capable of 1950rpm.

it might help to set a manual fan speed rather than auto? i find 45% to be the best any higher it becomes audible

No it's a standard twin froze iii cooler all these temps are with sleeping dogs as I know it stresses the card a lot

temps on my card rarely go over 60c.... unless I'm playing sleeping dogs, then 75c+ seems pretty standard. You could try dropping down the AA to High instead of extreme. Little less stressful for your card and not much visible difference, runs a bit smoother too.
