7950 & Micro Stutter

Evening,

I havent had my HIS 7950 long but Ive noticed micro stutter and lag in a fair few games.

Ive been playing Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and Bioshock Infinite and they all seem to have a small amount of stutter. I can maintain a solid 60fps but still it stutters.

Is there a chance my card is at fault?

Im still using 12.10 drivers. and yes a small overclock to 1100/1350

So with RadeonPro do you disable Vsync in game?

I just downloaded the latest Ccc when I installed the card last week.

Do I have to download the beta ones?

Ok then thank you, I will give it a go. Do I use the AMD uninstaller?

Ok i uninstalled the 12.10 drivers with the AMD utility and just downloaded the 13.6 beta however when I launch the installer I get a NSIS error and it will not launch..

What on earth is that!

Yes I believe so, shows up in my program list as Microsoft .NET 4 Framework Extended

I just installed the 13.3 beta drivers as I has already downloaded them and its all installed fine. One strange thing though is in MSI afterburner I dont seem to have any voltage control and the core clock slider only goes up to 1200?

Im so confused. Before I had the ccc 13.4 but the driver version said 12.10xxxx

Still doesnt work so I just reinstalled the CCC 13.4. Still cant get my Sliderpast 1200 though :/

Ok I have unlcoked the voltage control option but it shows as 1.125 in afterburner, when the stock settings are 1.25. Have I git a dud card?

Well it seems to be playing games nicely now. Got a decent 55fps average in the tomb raider benchmark with the ultimate preset. Happy with that

I think ill just live with the stutter on far cry

Ok everything seems to be running nicely now but I've noticed that in games the GPU usage doesn't reach 99 or 100%. In far cry 3 with everything turned up I'm getting 80ish % gpu usage. Seems a bit strange?

I ran the tomb racier benchmark and was getting 97-99% which seems right.

Seems to be the same in dirt as well. Getting good fps on the benchmark though, 65 on ultra

Yeah possibly, just seems strange that it's happened since the drivers have been installed.

Bioshock and Tombraider seem much better since the drivers were removed and installed again. Still cant seem to get the Bets 13.6 drivers to install though

I have done everything in the AMD drivers thread. Down load it from different locals.

Do you get the same error as I have been having?
