After having issues with my Sapphire 7950, I replaced it with a Gigabyte 7950.

Stock clocks are 900/5000.

Went benchmarking, Heaven is giving me sensible scores (~1700), but any game benchmarks gives me really low fps.
i.e. Dirt showdown gives me an average FPS of just 30 (ignore picture in other thread, cant match those scores now).

Dont want to overclock until I get a base sorted.
Anyone have any ideas?

I saw your screenshot in the other thread, are you sure you were running absolute maximum details in game ?

I ask because my 7970 cannot run maximum smoothly.

I'll go run a benchmark now on the highest possible settings and will report back shortly.

The settings I normally run are all high/ ultra, vsync off and lighting off.

Now somehow (must have been when humbug said set the preset detail to ultra), global lighting turned on.
Huge difference mind,
on - ~30fps average
off - ~80fps average.

Now I still think these are a little low, but Im happy with them for now.

Im running AMD 12.8, but I was running 12.9 (screenshot in other thread) with the same results.

Highest settings but with AA reduced (playable)

Whats the rest of your detail settings?
All of mine are max, just vsync and global lighting off.

Definately unplayable though with everything on and max settings.

Everything at max. I was just wondering whether you had AA all the way up. How does yours compare to mine?

I have full AA, its just the settings above the benchmark tab that gets me. Ill set everything to max and change the AA settings to match yours to compare.

EDIT:
MAX settings, stock clocks

MAX settings, full AA, stock clocks (taken earlier on 12.9 drivers, but 12.8 are almost the same)
