7950GX2 Only working on 1 GPU problem. Help Appreciated

Ok just tested Prey and Vsync is working fine on mine. As you say it is a great card. Thanks for clearing up where the problem can be seen in 06, i'm going to try a few things myself and see if i can replicate it.

Just to wrap up my problems, I received a replacement MSI 7950gx2 today (same model as before) and it's running a lot cooler than the previous one. As a result game and 3dmark performance is much better and I no longer have the random frame rate drops like i did when one of the cores was being throttled due to overheating. It definitely looks like it was just a faulty cooler on the original one.

Btw if i remember 3dmark06 scores on a conroe e6600 and superclocked evga 7950 is like 8900 and nothing is overclocked, is this normal or not very good..

I got 8530 out of mine with no tweaking after a fresh install. Maybe I need to check it again

Whats the default clock?
Would be interested to know the Max clock on that artifact free? My Inno3d was about 580/575

Finally got round to installing Everest.

Default clocks on both cards show up as 552 core /702 mem

BTW. If you want to know if SLi is working, you can get the SLi load balance to show you with the 7950GX2.

I can't see an option for the load balancing feature under the SLi tab. Are you sure it's available for the 7950 GX2? I'm running Forceware 91.45 and nHancer v1.2.2.

Thanks for the info. The SLi Load balancer in the Beta version of nHancer does work with the 7950 GX2. For anyone else who's interested you can get the nHancer Beta here .
