Hello,
Just purchased a new high end rig and would like to get the most out of my 7950x3d where possible, I'll list out my specs below -
ROG SWIFT OLED PG27AQDM 240HZ
ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI
AMD RADEON RX 7900 XTX
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
G.SKILL DDR5 7200MHZ CL34 (F5-7200J3445G16GX2-TZ5RK)
Samsung 990 PRO with Heatsink PCIE 4.0 NVME M.2 1TB
Corsair RM1000X 80+ GOLD
6x LIAN LI AL120 RGB
Be Quiet BW012 Silent Loop 2 360MM
Corsair 5000D Airflow Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX
I mainly play Warzone, I've seen crazy results in Warzone using the 7950x3d cache. Someone I've seen has the same build as me with a different PSU/NVME, he seems to be getting 240+ FPS in most if not all areas of the map. So I'd like to take advantaged of this system and I'm hoping you guys will be able to help!
Here's some info on how I've configured it so far -
Windows
1. Fresh install of Windows 11
2. Installed the latest CPU/GPU drivers
3. Game mode / Game bar both turned on (I've heard game bar prioritizes the L3 cache?)
4. Turned off Memory integrity (Might turn this back on but I've heard this can cause instability/FPS drops with W11)
5. High performance power plan
6. System -> Display -> Graphics (Games are set to High Performance GPU)
7. Set RendererWorkerCount for Warzone to 6 (Apparently this is supposed to force the game to use the cache)
BIOS
1. Tried BIOS versions 1709 & 1602 but I've settled with 1516 as it seems stable for me
2. Currently have DOCP enabled (7200 @ 34 45 45 115) - thinking to drop this to 6000 though not sure if it's entirely stable
3. Integrated graphics disabled
4. Precision Boost Overdrive - Enabled
5. CPU Boost Clock Override - Enabled (Positive)
6. Max CPU Boost Clock Override - 150
7. Curve Optimizer - All Cores, Negative, 10
8. CPU SOC Voltage - Manual Mode 1.20000
9. CPU VDDIO / MC Voltage - 1.20000
10. DRAM VDD/VDDQ Voltage - 1.40000
No other settings have been modified in BIOS, I have screenshots of the modified settings, also screenshots of Idle temps and AIDA64 CPU Stress test temps (HWINFO). Let me know if you need me to add them.
If anyone can help that would be much appreciated just had a few questions!
1. Do I need Game Bar / Game mode enabled with those BIOS settings above to take full advantage of the cache?
2. Does anyone have a similar setup or knowledge around these settings that could help me push this a bit further?
3. Are the voltages OK? (I've heard 1.3 is the limit for SOC)
Sorry for the rant, it's my first post!
