7am delivery.. wow!

Before I start with wasn't OCUK or DPD

Never have I had a delivery at 7am in the morning before. Ordered online yesterday and it said 10am till 1pm. Guy banged on the door while I was in deep slumber made it seem like someone was trying to get in. With the strong medication I'm on, I'm now shaking, and feel sick as **** and can't get back to sleep. Ridiculous! Even required a passcode, so yeh checking emails within a min of waking up too.

Surely 7am is a bit much, if it's supposed to be 10am onwards?

I detest getting early deliveries. Like you, if I’m asleep it gets my adrenaline going so no chance of going back to sleep :/

Problem is with me, you've got the adrenaline and also strong meds I have to take at 11pm before bed. They are still affecting me at that time so to speak :(

I've got a delivery later in the week with a 7am starting time - I guess is handy for people whose only chance is before work though. Depending on company/courier normally they aren't supposed to attempt delivery before the slot and/or much before the slot unless agreed otherwise. (EDIT: Though with a lot of companies the estimate may change at the point of going out for delivery unless you've paid for a specific slot).

I actually had one from Amazon recently which I ordered just before going to sleep - was after 11pm but I can't remember exactly, turned up between 7 and 8am that morning which was crazy.

I am pretty sure they are not supposed to deliver that early. I think their delivery times are 8am to 6pm.

I think the best thing to do would be to phone their head office and find out.

That's only really useful if it's say between 7-8am. If the slot is 7am-7pm, then you'd have to be quite lucky for it to arrive before work :S

At least the OP's delivery letter post turned up, I ordered something due to be delivered on Thursday which was out for delivery (in Bristol) yesterday before 8pm, needless to say didn't arrive, and is now saying I need to contact customer services.

If it comes tomorrow then fine, but that message isn't filling me with confidence - last time this happened the item never arrived
 
I think phoning it in is a bit much, getting a parcel at 7am happens maybe once in a lifetime or once every few years, there’s probably a good reason for it. As long as it doesn’t become habit.
