7xxx series, how many of you suffer this problem?

Have sent a webnote to RMA it: obviously closed on a sunday, so will send it back tomorrow.

It could well be the voltage being a problem, but I shouldnt have to mess about this much to run it at stock. Thanks for the replies/help. Fingers crossed the replacement is better.. although I may just ask for a refund and get an nvidia instead :/

The only thing that fixed my 7870 random black screens at 2d clocks was to make a CCC profile and raise the core clock by 100 to 400MHz and set the memory clock at a permanent high clocks (1400MHz).

I haven't had a single crash since so I would hazard a guess it's to do with the memory clock switching.

I also have the Vcore set to steady V in MSI AB.

Turning off flash acceleration did nothing for me.

did yours crash as soon as you tried to run 3d games?

For example, load L4D2: try to load a map and it'd crash the moment it's loaded and entering the intro.

Similarly with TF2 - can load a map, but grey/black screen as soon as the map is ready to display

I had a problem with an XFX 7970 DD/OC (Sent it back), the native DVI was Single link & the Dual link was secondary - this ment I could'nt view my UEFI on my Hazro & my Mobo would light the fault LED (the problem here was its BRIGHT & was in my face, lol)

I know these are'nt a major issue but problems all the same !

Shame as it was a fast card...
