Hello All,
My Hard disk was constantly running at 100%, I found this to be Bullgaurd eating into my HDD, however I think it has done some permanent damage, I did a test with Defragler and this is the result

Let me draw your attention to
188 Command Timeout 8,590,065,668 100 99 0 0x000000020004

I was told 500,000 was bad... I have 8 Billion, is this a problem bullgaurd has caused or could it be a false reading?

I wouldn't worry too much, it's possible Bullguard ended up DoS-ing itself. Only if you continue to see the number climb with the problem corrected would you need to be concerned. A command timeout can easily occur without any sort of hardware issue.
It may also be your drive isn't correctly reporting, which with a monstrous value like that is definitely a possibility.

You're not getting any other "proper" errors so I'd suggest try changing to a new SATA lead, and possibly another port on your mobo if you've got one spare.

500k is high, 8 Billion is incorrect.

If really concerned, you can ask about RMA'ing it, if you're in your warranty.

If there is something wrong then you'll likely be able to tell through a degradation of performance. Like the above poster says, 8 billion sounds like a dodgy reading.

If you are concerned or just want piece of mind, download and install the manufacturer's diagnostic software and run a check. Certainly do this before wasting time setting up an RMA. In fact, they'll probably ask you to do that before approving it.

There's something a bit weird with the data shown, as the current/worst/threshold values are normally in the 0-255 (byte) range, so I'd guess that 8,590,065,668 is the result of a bug in defraggler.
