8.gig ram installed windows 8.1 only 3.25gig usable?

I came from WinXP 32bit to Win8.1 64bit and all of my apps worked although i've changed them all for 64bit versions now
 
Ok ive tracked down an x64 ISO thank you captain crash : ) Now my windows is version 8.1 pro with media center at the minute. Question is do I just download the core/pro windows 8.1 version? there's so many.

get the EN-GB Core/Pro one. i just tested it and it started fine. i can't say what speeds you'll get as i only let it run a few seconds. i'm on 3G and can't afford the bandwidth. :p
 
Ah Ta its working fine now. It was just my old version of utorrent, I put on latest ver and its all good downloading.

I don't believe it's "illegal" in the strict sense of the word, but I guess it would count as "unauthorised distribution."

Just to be on the safe side you might want to remove the magnet link from your post Jimbo (you can leave the other info).

Not an upgrade, a complete new build.
Photoshop CS4 32bit and AutoCAD 2010 32bit along with other software worked fine with Win8.1 64bit.

Chrome Browser, Winamp, Sony Soundforge etc are all 32bit and all work perfectly on my 64bit windows.

32bit app will always work on 64bit, it's 64bit that wont work on 32bit.
