8 pack system advice

Hello I'm after The best Gaming Rig. would The Supernova be ideal guys i can afford it my budget is £30000 just want to go for the best of the best just looking for advice would it be better just let overclockers build it:) ??

And no i ain't trolling before you start, i had a accident and got compensation i want to treat myself that's all guys please understand its my money

I would contact OcUK, post up in the OcUK Customer Service Section under Pre-Sales Queries.

I spoke to ScottiB (SI manager @ OcUK), the customer service I have received has been fantastic. Scott has been extremely patient with me even with my ever changing goalposts. The team are extremely knowledgable and aren't interested in making a quick sale. They want to make the right system for the individual!

I am hoping to receive my new rig very soon but I am 100% sure they will be able to guide you to making the right decision :)

I know it's silly of me to say this but I prefer to be honest, £30K is way too extreme a budget, even for us. There is only so much power that you can fit into a system and anything more is just decoration. Since we don't offer gold plated cases or jewel encrusted graphics cards I think we can build the ultimate system for a lot less than that.

There is a new Supernova in development at the moment, however, there is no reason why we can't build you something a little more unique if you'd prefer, part of the 8Pack service is the ability to customise the look of the system to suit you. We have various customisation options available to us.

If you'd like to discuss in more detail I can put you in touch with our prestige systems specialist and, once he returns from his latest OC competition, 8Pack.

Send me a trust message if you'd like to talk in private.

30k mmmmm speak to 8pack directly and get a him to make a extremely custom pc I'm sure he would even come to ur house and build it for that haha
You wouldn't want that, he always makes a right mess of the place! :p

With he money left you could pay him to clean too

Just some random thought.

Apart from buying Supernova,

How about getting 3 4K monitors, plus nice keyboard and mouse, flystick, racing wheel.

Then treat yourself with a gaming room refurb...

And of coz Ergonomic chairs! Herman Miller embody :D

Man... I hope I have that much to spend...

Sorry but LOL.. Anyone that comes onto a forum stating that they have £30K to spend on a computer to play games is likely to be a dreamer. I have built a lot of systems for high profile clients (Music Artists, Sports Personalities, TV and Film Stars) and they wouldn't spend that sort of money. Also judging by previous posts including one that was laughing at people for buying "the best at the time" and how quick hardware goes out of date makes me think that the OP is BSing..

If previous posts are taken into consideration - maybe?

Or possibly not a troll, just someone with apparently no concept of the cost of current tech?

Right on the money I think.. Maybe not trolling but a dreamer... Our sales gets people like this all the time. Just wasting time suggesting they have an extreme budget and get a quote raised with the highest spec in the world with no intention of buying. Dunno what they get out of it but maybe they enjoy wasting peoples time.

Build your own, save a fortune.

...have fun fault finding and possibly making a complete and utter mess, warranty voiding components along the way. Not everyone has the time/patience/knowledge/skill to build a fully watercooled system, let alone build one to our standards.

Then, of course, you have the overclock...very few people in the world can match 8Pack.

You could also get a load of 1TB SSD's for the fun of it and also a 4k OLED screen.

Big deal about matching someone, as long as its a decent overclock there will be very little difference. Only a mug would waste money on this. Its not rocket science building a rig like that.

Not quite the same, the difference between this guy overclocking a system and tweaking and someone like you or me would be minimal, a few FPS. Waste of money imo and it wouldn't even be noticeable.

Think what you want, you obviously aren't our target customer. As TheGentry implied, some people prefer to buy the best solution available and are happy to pay for the best. After all, someone with £200K to spend on a car may be able to buy a £10k car and spend a lot less that £190K upgrading it to a level where it can get close to a Ferrari in a straight line, does that mean that the Ferrari isn't worth the money?

8Pack puts a minimum of fours days work into every system & he isn't even building it. Selecting the parts, overclocking and tuning the system takes a lot of time and patience. Finding the best CPU from a batch of roughly 50 chips is a painstaking process, then there is the overclocking. If you think a moderate overclock will come even close then you are sadly mistaken, the memory tuning alone gives the equivalent of a good 200-400MHz on the CPU core. You'd need LN2 to get similar performance from just a CPU overclock. Finally, the graphics cards are tuned at BIOS level to ensure the maximum performance from each and every card.

It's fair to say that we have a lot of very talented people in our company, no-one else even comes close to 8Pack for squeezing the maximum performance from each and every component. His record proves that he is in fact the best in the world at it. Compare some of his records with those people in the runner up spots and you'll see that, despite not having the best CPU, or best graphics card, his ability, patience and attention to detail allow him to prevail.

The build itself also takes a few days solid preparation and build time because includes a full set of hand-braided cables and a dual loop watercooling set up in whatever colours the customer chooses. The man hours involved in building these systems in itself is enough, I feel, to set these systems apart from a normal build, but the fact is, only our best person for the job carries out each stage of the process. Put simply, these are the best product that we can build, backed up by the best service that we can offer.

Can't agree more.

Altho I myself do not like the concept of 8 Pack system, I can't disagree that tuning a system actually spend A LOT of time.

And to be perfectly honest, if you decide on buying a 8 Pack system, you won't be thinking of which part should you get, and that saves you a lot of time.

Money cannot buy time, but time can earn you something more than money.
