and cheaper... depending on what router you get (most have a 4 port switch built-in), it does mean you will have to get a switch with (5 or) 6 ports though...
EDIT: if you want a Netgear 8-port wireless router, you're looking at something like a Netgear FVG318 8-Port ProSafe Broadband Wireless Router at about £100. However, you can pick up a Netgear FS608 8-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Switch 10/100 Mbps for about £25 and then get something like a Netgear DG834G 54Mbps Wireless ADSL Modem Firewall Router with 4-port 10/100 switch for about £55.
EDIT2: Just noticed you want a cable router. Something like Netgear WGR614UK Wireless 54G Cable/DSL Router for about £40 bundled with the switch would give you 10 ports for about £65 (plus shipping).
