8 track reels to mixer/PC

Ah,I understood the original recording was performed by the same chap for 8 takes then mixed together.
I didn't realise it was a live recording.

Yes this but just try and imagine the work involved if only two tracks at a time are recorded & saved and then you have to stitch them together.
1 & 2 will be in time, 3 & 4 in time, 5 & 6 in time and 7 & 8 in time but now trying to get all 8 in time to sound like the original will be a task.
Do this for 25 reels with around 5 songs on each and ..........................
