8 weeks smoke free

Nice one ! Little but surprised of the addiction but I've noticed it myself ... If I leave them laying around on my desk I seem to pop a fair few even though I don't need them :o

Out of sight, out of mind I think.

I also pop them like sweets, which ain't good :(

If I dont have them to hand I start grinding my teeth for some reason.
I have also noticed this £900 I have 'apparently' saved...don't know where it all is though

Eeeeye ! Not good ... must try to wean myself off these microtabs. Previously I was on patches for a couple of weeks and then gum but as the gum is pretty much revolting I found myself weaning off NRT pretty quickly.

Thanks for pointing this out.

There's always cash in my wallet :D - You must have spent it all on bills :p

First thing I do whenever I give up is to reward myself with something that I'll be using on a daily basis to remind me of how good it is to be smokefree... Bought an android tab similar to one of these when I had 'apparently' saved £80 http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18264397

ps I noticed a pack of 20 is now £7.10 and 10s are fast approaching £4 ! Woooaaahhh

I noticed that the other day, especially Embassy...So glad I quit.
Im on the 1mg lozenges now so not as bad but still need to get off them.
I was pretty proud of myself though as I was about 1 month in to not smoking and I managed to not slip up once even though I had so much going on such as my twins in intensive care and stress from work and everything else, I managed to pull through it all with will power. If I wasnt determined to quit I wouldnt have made it without smoking again.

I've quit loads of times in the past for the longest was 6 weeks so this is the longest ive ever gone and im at the point where I actually feel sick when I smell smoke :(

You noticed too did you ehhh ? :D Didn't feel like a smoke but as soon as I glanced up in the store I could smell the tobacco from an unlit B&H, I felt my mouth water. THEN I saw the price - £7.10  which prompted me to buy 3 euro lucky dips instead of the 2 that I went in there for :D

Well if I'm going to be burning money, might as well put it on the lottery.

I don't know... I think this may well be a life long battle and we'll have to deal with it in our own special way. You're half a year in, which is amazing, ultimately you're saving your own life day by day ;)

Christ ! Mayfair ? Ewwwww ! Should be dead easy to give up if that's all you smoked :D

I remember many moons ago there was a brand that was way cheaper than mayfair... Can't remember the name.... (red packet) Remember my last pennies going on them and lit one up only to find that half the cig burned away from just one puff

Don't worry about the money ... it's your health that your saving, that's far more valuable :)

When i was in the Royal Navy we used to be able to get Blue liners for 20p a pack of 20, mind you after smoking 20 you couldn't speak for a week

Clearly you have never enjoyed the burning agony that is Rooster cigarettes. Non filtered, available singly in Kenya, they are the work of the devil lol

Well done, i did 6 months with Easy Way but the loss of my daughter made me start again, been on it 3 months now but gonna read the book again as she will be going on dad stop smoking

OMG I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Having 2 daughters myself, I cannot begin to comprehend how you must feel :( :(

Ive been quit since january now. Even still I get cravings after a big meal etc. I had a weeks holiday in January and got the flu and I was redecorating the front room. By the time I finished I hadn't smoked for 6 days so thought might as well pack it in now. Didn't use anything just will power. Was smoking for 8 years too and im only in my mid twenties. I feel a lot better in my health already and more importantly my wallet :).
