As it's being run off of a tv in a living room, I take it this is just being used almost entirely for gaming (and I guess media)? Rather than as a day to day or workstation pc.
If that's the case then we can pull the budget even further and get to a system that'll comfortably wreck the next gen consoles, seeing as that's your current goal?
