Hi guys,

Am soon selling my current system, and the money made off this, plus some of my own money gives me around £850.

Got my spec kinda sorted, am looking for a silentish, air-cooled system.

CPU - Intel Q9550 'Yorkfield' Quad Core - £199.99
Mobo- ?? Crossfire ready, sata2 with rad, and a demon overclocker - £150ish
Ram - GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 - £59.99
GPU - 4870 / GTX260. Not sure which, any ideas? - £159.99
HDD (System) - WD VelociRaptor £74GB - £85.99
HDD (Storage) - Seagate 1TB (2 in RAID) - £137.98
DVD - Pioneer DVR-216DBK 20x DVD±RW SATA - £13.49
CPU Cooler - Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler (Supposed to be quiet) - £35.99
Case - Antec Sonata Plus 550 Quiet Midi-Tower Case -89.99

TOTAL - - £933.41

Would the PSU do if I plan to overclock?

This is over my budget a bit, anything you'd change for cheaper? Only if it wont lose too much..

As for GPU, which do you think I should go for? 4870 or GTX260?

And any idea of a good motherboard for this lot?

Thanks for any help

Go for an X38 board if you plan to go crossfire in the future.
I would go for the 4870. It is on par when it comes to the 260 but they differ in performance in different games. 4870 is better value tbh.
Where is the PSU?...

get the 4870.

p45 boards are fine for crossfire, you lose 1% or so performance between that and an X38. they're also cheaper and better for overclocking.
