£800 build

Monitor and TV yes , pure porn ! Heavy price but worth it .
I'm sure HDR was in the works or next year .
Will have to ask my bro, EU phone manager but sees the tech guys now and again when he heads to SK.

Not to sure if @baltazar could stretch that far , or live with the fact at looking over at his better half, literally having the better half of the deal haha

Not the Quantum dot one, but still uses Samsung VA panel

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,108.87
(includes shipping: £14.10)

I'll think south would agree with me on this, get the Mrs the Ryzen 1400 and use cash for screen. Can always drop a 3rd gen ryzen in 4 years time odd ;)

Although surprised LG hasn't brought their OLED to gaming monitors. With so many games getting darker and set in dark scenes. Could you Imagen playing Elite Dangerous with a HDR Freesync OLED 144hz screen...

On board audio have come on a long way, from z170 series to this year's Mobo. Wil be fine with onboard . Unless she has 600ohms head set ??

Plenty of guides on YouTube and build logs in here. But everyone on the forum would gladly lend an ear and hand to help you .
Watch some videos though, highly recommended
Once you've built one... That's it, no going back

Another reason I was recommending the Samsung is the higher sRGB colour accuracy it has over TNs, which could be essential for the OP's design work.

You could just skip the 144hz part and get a nice 60hz IPS if you really need an accurate display for colour sensitive work.

Wanted to say thanks guys, ordered and coming Friday...
Gonna have an exciting build this weekend with the Mrs and try not to break anything.
