Ok so this is my first build so id appreciate people just looking over the spec and seeing if there’s anything glaringly obvious.

Using for gaming / programming / occasional graphic design, although I’m currently on a single core AMD 3400 (laptop) so anything’s going to seem like a massive improvement.

I’m planning to OC the E2140 to around 3GHz, i think everything selected is capable of this, but if not please say. It’s more of a stepping stone processor before native quad cores are released.

I’m not sure on how good the screen is, but it seems good value compared to most others, any opinions on it ? Ill buy another 1 for dual screens as soon as I can afford to as well.

Case is down to preference, but can anyone say if the CPU cooler will fit in ok ? I think it will, but id like re-assurance.

Thanks very much, look forward to feedback.

I believe the crucial ram will overclock to around 800mhz fairly easy, and often manages 1000mhz ok too.

Fair enough though if you can get ram at stock thats already at 800mhz and only £58 its worth considering.

From 667mhz to 1000? are you sure?

The 667MHz Crucial Ballistix overclocks like a Rolex on steroids, and if you aren't into druggy watches, that means it overclocks to 1000MHz.

The crucial memory has a very good reputation for overclocking allowing tighter timings than the cheaper ram, logical suggestion but i think ill stick with what ive got :)

that means it overclocks to 100MHz

Haha, i hope thats a typo or mb i really should re-consider :P
